Featured Product   #298  Anne Lancaster's Needle Book PATTERN Inspired by a pocket sampler stitched in an orphan asylum in the early 1800s, I’ve taken some of the motifs from one panel of the original sampler and stitched them in nice, muted colors of pewter, brown, charcoal, cream, and olive.  The star on the original sampler was filled with satin stitches, but I’ve chosen to stitch the year 1826 in the center and then added Anne’s name in clockwise fashion starting with her first name in the sections surrounding the center.  (Note: Anne Lancaster was not the name of the young girl who stitched the original pocket sampler, nor is this an exact reproduction of the original.)  I’ve used some good Civil War era prints for the panels on Anne’s needle book, added a pocket for stowing your scissors and some thread and stitched a few bits of wool inside to collect pins, needles, and buttons.  A bit of silk ribbon ties the whole closed.  The sampler is stitched over two threads on 32 count linen.  Stitch count is 97h x 107w and the stitchery itself measures 6”h x 6.5”w.  The needle book measures 6.25”h x 7.25”w closed.   Our Price:  $10.50   Approximate Shipping Time: 1 week Limited Quantities There Are Currently: 1 Available Qty        Tell A Friend!
