Monthly Wool Gatherings

Join us on the 2nd Saturday of every month for a gathering of hookers and crafters to work on a project, visit with old friends and make some new friends. All levels are welcome, from novice to expert. No formal hooking instruction occurs but you're sure to pick up a tidbit or two! The Cost is $5.00 which includes free coffee and Tea. You will also recieve 10% all purchases in the quilt shop during the hours of the Gathering!

Our next Gathering takes place on January 12, 2010 10AM-2PM , Bring your project & your lunch and we will provide Coffee and Tea!

Beginners Penny Class

Join us for a fun filled learning experience. We will demonstrate all techniques for you but you will primarily learn by doing in this hands-on class.

We will cover the basics of Penny rug making including information about good materials for projects, basic directions, cutting out your pieces, basic techniques for finishing a rug. Time permitting, other subjects will be covered. By the end of the class you will have all the skills to complete your project! If you need or want more support , then join us on the 2nd saturday of each month for our wool gathering group!

Class size is limited to 6 participants.
Cost: $70.00 which includes the cost of materials.
Supplies to Bring to Class: A sharp pair of small fabric scissors
Prerequisite: No sewing skills needed.

Beginners Rug Hooking Class

February 7,2010 from 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM and February 21, 2010 from 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM
This Class is for the beginners level.
We will cover the basics of rug hooking including information about foundations, good materials for rug hooking, basic hooking directions, cutting your strips, how to hook different shapes and basic techniques for finishing a rug. Time permitting, other subjects will be covered. By the end of the class series, if you also work on your project at home, you should have completed your first hooked rug.

Class Cost: 125.00 which include the Instruction and kit with hook. Please bring a 14" quilters hoop or frug hooking frame and a pair of small fabric sissors.

You may purchase a frame for the cost of $90.00 this includes a 10% discount. Join us for a fun filled day. Learn how to make this beautiful Floral Table Square. 10AM-2PM Class cost and materials included. Bring your own lunch. Coffee and Tea will be served! Finished piece measures 23" Square
